چکیده مقاله:

In the present study, to investigate the effect of matrix cracking density in a GFRP model, a laminated compositewith [۰۲/۹۰۶]s lay-up under asymmetric guided Lamb wave propagation was simulated by using the finite element methodin the ABAQUS software. The time-response diagrams of the reflected spectrum of the surface-mounted FBGs sensorwere obtained using the FBG-SIMUL software. The stress and strain fields for a pre-defined path in the model obtainedusing the finite element analysis were used as the inputs of the model developed in FBG-SIMUL. The obtained timeresponsediagrams included the Bragg wavelength shift and peak width variation of the reflected spectrum. The resultsshowed that by increasing the matrix cracking density, the Bragg wavelength shift, and peak width variation decreased. It was observed that the sensitivity of the FBG sensors to detect matrix cracking was higher than other methods presentedin previous studies.
