چکیده مقاله:
One of the most important concerns of a husband and wife is having a child. This issue is so important that some couples even decide to form a joint life with the aim of having a child, and failure in this issue can even lead to their separation. Infertility is one of the most important problems in not having children, whether it is from one of the couples or both parties. Doctors in Islamic civilization were not indifferent to this issue, and in addition to knowing uterine diseases, they have devoted chapters of their works to the causes and treatment of infertility.Ibn Sina is one of the famous doctors of the ۵th century AH, who has dedicated parts of his book Qanun fi al-Tab to this topic. The present research aims to investigate the causes of infertility in women from Avicenna's point of view with a descriptive-analytical approach and using library sources. The findings of this research show that the presence of a gland inside the uterus, swelling in the tubes that bring the sperm to the uterus, excessive humidity in the uterus, irregular menstruation are among the important factors of infertility in women. be Prescribing warm and dry medicines to adjust the mood and remove the bad mood created in the womb has been the solution of this doctor to treat infertility.
