چکیده مقاله:

In recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in the use of enzymes in wet-processing of textiles. Ofthe many enzymes suitable for textile applications, Cellulase is one of the most important. In this study,Neutral Cellulase is used to degrade the cotton fiber in pe/co fabric in order to recycle the polyester.Pe/co(65/35) fabric(which is the most common) is first shredded during a mechanical process. Producedfibers were then treated with two different kind of neutral cellulase(TJ-2000,GI) in three different durations,so the cotton fibers were degraded. To evaluate the level of degradation, microscopic methods and todetermine the degree of opening process, scanning method were chosen. It is concluded that, with the aid ofneutral cellulase and using a proper duration we can recycle the polyester fiber from pe/co blended fabrics, which the final product may be useful in fiber production.
