In this research, the numerical investigation of time-dependent ۲D heat transfer in A۳۶ lowalloymarine sheets is carried out. The numerical simulation is performed by ABAQUS softwareand once again by coding in MATLAB software; then, the results of these both methods areanalyzed. Coding in MATLAB included defining assumptions, creating geometry, connectingthe boundary nodes, and finally solving the partial equations. Using temperaturedependent/independent data, simulation in ABAQUS included two modes of transient andsteady-state conditions. After the solution is obtained in this two software, temperature contoursof the whole domain were presented. In the ABAQUS simulation, six different mesh systemscomposed of different square and triangular elements with fine and coarse granules areconsidered. An average of ۱.۲۵ % error was calculated for the highest temperatures of specifiedpoints for these different mesh systems. Furthermore, when using temperature-dependent heatcapacity and heat coefficient parameters, temperature values showed significant differencesfrom those of the temperature-independent mode.
