The Effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Interventionon Psychological Wellbeing in Infertile Women (A ReviewS tudy)

Background: Infertility is a s tressful experience for couplesand is considered as a serious problem in public health. S tudieshave shown that due to prevailing culture in society, infertilityis often considered a female problem and therefore womenface more emotional problems than men. S tress due to infertilityleads to a decrease in psychological well-being by creatingtension and confusion. Psychological well-being is one of thepositive areas of psychology and is a multi-component conceptthat includes self-acceptance, positive relationships with others,autonomy, rapport with a environment. One of the positive psychologicalinterventions is mindfulness that means focusing onthe present situation Without any judgment. This kind of attentionincreases the clarity, and awareness of the current reality.Materials and Methods: Databases used were PubMed,CINAHL, Google Scholar, EMBASE, and Scopus. Articlespublished in English from ۲۰۱۰-۲۰۲۱.Results: Mindfulness leads to positive psychological effects,including increasing peace of mind and awareness of positiveemotions and helping people by modifying negative behaviors.Such a measure for infertile women that usually take more responsibilityfor infertility and have experience more negativeemotions, is beneficial and improve their level of psychologicalwell-being.Conclusion: Mindfulness causes people to deal with negativeemotions in life events with a positive attitude and by reducingpsychological dis turbances, a person experiences higher levelsof competence and life satisfaction. Which ultimately leads tothe promotion of mental health and psychological well-being
