چکیده مقاله:
Background: The vaginal microbiome has a pivotal role inwomen’s health. Lactobacillus genus are beneficial organismsand act as a defense agains t pathogens. The aim of this s tudy isto assess the vaginal microbiome on the assis ted reproductive technique (ART) outcome.Materials and Methods: We searched a range of electronic databasesfor appropriate s tudies in English, including PubMed,Google Scholar, and Scopus up to April ۲۰۲۲. Identified articlesscreened using inclusion and exclusion criteria. A manualsearch of the references within the resulting s tudies was performed.Finally, ۱۱ articles were included in this review.Results: The vaginal microbiome can affect the results of ART.Lactobacillus abundance and s tability of the vaginal microbiomeare associated with better reproductive and ART outcomesand the achievement of pregnancy.Conclusion: The microbiome of the genital tract plays an importantrole in the case of ARTs. Dysbiosis and the lack of lactobacillican explain implantation failures in ARTs.
