Surgical Aspects of Adenomyosis

Adenomyosis was described by Carl Rokitansky over ۱۵۰ yearsago. Whils t around ۱۹۲۰ he coined the term adenomyosis andplaced the condition on the surgical map. For several decades,while endometriosis received mos t of the scientific attention, itsfirs t relative adenomyosis, received little or none. Even to thesedays, there is no coherent medical decision on how it is bes tto manage this condition in its various clinical expressions. Inmy presentation I propose a surgical road map based on safetyoutcomes especially for women who are in reproductive ageand reques t fertility.
