The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of information technology in strategies for equal educational opportunities, which was done in a survey method. The statistical population consisted of all employees of education departments in kerman province. The sample size was ۳۶۱ according to the Georgian and Morgan sample size determination table, which was increased to ۴۰۰ to reduce the error. The sampling method was cluster sampling. Researcher-made questionnaires of information technology and equal educational opportunities were used to measure research variables. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by professors and experts and the reliability of the questionnaires was assessed by a preliminary test. Reliability was obtained using Cronbach's alpha test for information technology equal to ۰.۸۱ and for equal opportunity educational questionnaire equal to ۰.۸۹. Data analysis was performed based on statistical data with SPSS software. Pearson correlation coefficient test was used to determine the correlation of research variables. Multivariate regression was used to evaluate the effect of variables as well as the prediction test. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between the use of information technology and the development of equal educational opportunities in education in kerman province. There is a positive and significant relationship between the use of information technology and maximization, equalization and elitism in education in kerman province. Also, access to information resources and educational materials, distance education and visual display of course content are ۴۳% effective in expanding equal educational opportunities in the province. In the meantime, the effect of visual display of course content is greater. Also, the results of the agreement table showed that schools located in the west of the province are in a better position in terms of development and growth of equal educational opportunities than areas located in the east and center of kerman province.
