The use of nanoelectrical arresters technology in theelectricity industry

One of the technologies that has grown in recent years is nanotechnology. This technology has madean impact in many areas and caused their transformation. One of these fields is the electricity industry.The electrical industry is an important and very extensive industry with many equipments. One of theimportant equipments that play an important role in high pressure transmission lines are arresters andinsulators. In this article, an introduction to nanotechnology is given in the beginning, and in the nextsection, lightning arresters are discussed in detail. The use of lightning arrester, characteristics andfeatures, advantages and disadvantages of its types, how to connect, etc. are fully explained. In thenext section, nanotechnology and its application are discussed. In the next part of the article, theresearch and works done on the technology of nano-electrical arresters are stated, which includesseven different sub-sections that briefly explain the new technologies on nano-electrical arresters andthe conducted research. The uses of these nano-electrical arresters and insulators in the transmissionand distribution network are also stated. At the end of the article, the conclusion is given.
