Optical Sensor Design Based on L-Cavity Photonic Crystal Structure

In this paper, an all optical material sensor is designedbased on a L-cavity photonic crystal structure. The geometricalparameters of the photonic crystal L-cavity is defined. Thefunction of the optical sensor is on the basis of modification ofoptical field distribution pattern and light intensity within thestructure in the presence of different materials. The materialsutilized in this research work are some noble materials like Ag,Au, Al and some dielectric materials such as GaAs, Al۲o۳, andInP.
