چکیده مقاله:

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of systematic desensitization in reducing behavioral problems in elementary students with reading disabilities. The study was quasi experimental pre-test and post-test and also was conducted with a control group. The study population consisted of exceptional children with reading disabilities in Malayer. Thirty students were chosen with voluntary sampling. Therefore, they were divided in to two peer groups of fifteen as experimental and control group. Measuring instruments used in this research includes Duay Peterson Revised behavior problems in children and young adults (RBPC,۱۹۸۷) and is protocol of systematic desensitization. The data were analyzed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and the result showed that regular desensitization treatment has an effect on reducing problems in elementary students with reading disabilities.
