چکیده مقاله:

Under uni-axial stress, a finite element analysis of the temperature-dependentmechanical behavior of Poly-methyl methacrylate (PMMA) was carried out attemperatures of ۲۰℃, ۴۰℃, ۶۰ ℃, and ۸۰ ℃,which are well below its glass transitionpoint which is ۱۰۸ ℃. This research was complemented and validated by simulationsdone by previous papers aiming at determining material characteristics for a PMMAdumbbell specimen with well-defined dimensions. The mechanical behavior of PMMAwas dramatically impacted by temperature, with quasi-brittle fracture at ambienttemperature and super-plastic behavior above ۸۰ degrees.
