Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome Temporallyassociated with SARS-CoV-۲ symptoms in Iran and literature review

چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : In this case series, we report two cases of pediatric patients diagnosedand treated for Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome which is temporally associated withSARS-CoV-۲ symptoms.Methods : Patients & Methods: In the current study, two previously healthy ۳ and ۴-year-old boyswere referred to hospital with ۵ days of ۳۹ ۰C fever, and the symptoms such as erythema multiformin the lower extremities, irritability, refusal to eat, restlessness, lymphadenopathy, conjunctivitis,and abnormal echocardiography. Their blood parameters, including CRP, ESR, D-Dimer were ۲-۳+, ۶۵-۱۱۵, and > ۱۰۰۰۰۰.۰ ng/dl, respectively.Results : Results: They were diagnosed to have Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrometemporally associated with SARS-CoV-۲ (PIMS-TS) symptoms and then, they were treated withRemdesivir, vitamin C, IVIG, Methylprednisolone, and Ceftriaxone. Patients After ۸ days ofhospitalization, were showed decreased of D-dimer and CRP level and improvement of rash andconjunctivitis and other normal vital signs, these issues led to their discharge from the hospital.Conclusion : Conclusion: The present case series it raised several issues for physicians includeshow to get SARS-CoV-۲, its complications, diagnosis and treatment. Based on our results andliterature, it’s recommended that in the COVID-۱۹ epidemic, pediatrics with PIMS-TS firstscreened for SARS-CoV-۲, then treated with mixed of anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, antibioticsand IVIG. More study are needed to understanding the clinical features and outcomes of COVID-۱۹ and their complication in children
