چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Staphylococcus aureus is one cause of hospital infections which createsa wide range of infectious illnesses. It is necessary to mention that Urtica dioica, Portulaca oleraceaand Stachys schtschegleevii have more antimicrobial and healing effects. In this project, theantimicrobial and healing effects of plants extracts with silver sulfadiazine were studied on burninfections of Staphylococcus aureus in rats. Methods : In this study, ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Urtica dioica, Portulaca oleracea andStachys schtschegleevii were prepared in the laboratory. Then, the MIC and MBC of the extractswere determined by the dilution method in the Muller Hinton agar. In study of animal model, firstly the bacteria were inoculated with a concentration of (۵×۱۰۵ CFU/ml) to the wound site onrats. After ۲۴ hours, an ointment was prepared based on MBC concentration from extracts ofmentioned plants for ۱g of silver sulfadiazine and was used to treat burn wounds and infections ofStaphylococcus aureus. Results : In studies conducted on rats, it was found that ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Urticadioica, as well as the acetonic extract of Portulaca oleracea had more antimicrobial and healingeffect on Staphylococcus aureus. But in the wound treated with ethanolic and acetonic extract ofStachys schtschegleevii, bleeding was seen. Conclusion : The results of the studies showed that the ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Urticadioica and the acetonic extract of Portulaca oleracea had more antimicrobial and restoration effectson burn wound infected with Staphylococcus aureus in rats. Ethanolic and acetonic extract ofUrtica dioica had better healing effects than acetonic extract of Portulaca oleracea. As a result, extract of Urtica dioica could be used in preparation of burn ointments.
