چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Excessive and indiscriminate use of antimicrobials in the hospital andcommunity environment are the most important coding factors that lead to the emergence, evolution and acquisition of new resistance of bacteria to antimicrobials. The aim of this study wasto investigate the emergence of Acinetobacter baumannii isolates with drug-resistant VIM andSIM genes isolated from the surfaces and equipment of the NICU ward of Tehran PediatricMedical Centers by PCRMethods : : In this descriptive cross-sectional study, which was performed over a period of ۲months, out of a total of ۱۲۰ samples that were sent to the microbiological laboratory of WestTehran. Forty species of Acinetobacter baumannii were identified and isolated using culturemethods and biochemical tests. VIM and SIM genes were identified by PCR.Results : The resistance of the isolates to the antibiotics of imipenem and meropenem andlincomycin ۴۰ isolates (۱۰۰%) and ceftozoxime and oxytocin ۳۶ isolates (۹۰%) and gentamicin۳۴ isolates (۸۵.۹۷%) and ciprofloxacin (۹۸%) Ceftazidime was ۳۹ isolates (۹۹%) and cefotaximeand cefexime were ۲۷ isolates (۶۹.۴%) and ampicillin and tetracycline were ۲۸ isolates (۷۰.۲%).And ۴۰ isolates (۱۰۰%) were sensitive to cholestin and the mean minimum lethal concentration ofimipenem and meropenem antibiotics among ۲۴ isolates (۶۰.۳%) was MIC ≥ ۶۴ ug/ml. Thefrequency of VIM and SIM genes in resistant isolates is ۷ isolates (۱۹.۴%) and ۱ isolate (۳.۲%),respectivelyConclusion : In this study, the importance of the emergence of drug-resistant Acinetobacterbaumannii isolates was investigated. And the genotype of this species in relation to antimicrobialsubstances in different parts of the world, including Iran, and this requires extensive studies byresearchers .
