New methods in the diagnosis of viral infections

Background and Aim : Viral infections are the most important infectious agents in humandiseases. Accurate and quick diagnosis of viral infections is very important in controlling theseinfections.Methods : In this study, three new methods of NGS, PCR and hybridization are examined for thediagnosis of covid-۱۹, enteroviruses and EBV.Results : New diagnostic methods should be used to identify emerging infectious agents, but thesemethods still have weaknesses.Conclusion : The results of this study show that new technology is very important in the quickand accurate diagnosis of viral infections. In addition, traditional methods such as cell culturecannot be ignored.
