چکیده مقاله:

Backgrounds: The IL۷R gene codes interleukin ۷ (IL-۷) receptor alpha chains. This protein is asubunit of IL-۷ and the Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin (TSLP) receptors. These receptors areinserted in the plasmalemma of lymphocytes. Since the IL۷R gene is involved in the regulationof the immune system, changes in it might affect the autoimmune response and inflammationcontribute to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). In this study, the variations of the IL-۷R gene increasingthe risk of MS development were searched.Materials and Methods: The polymorphisms of the IL۷R gene affecting the development ofMS were investigated on the MS Gene website (http://www.msgene.org). Literature of reviewstudy was done through PubMed, Google Scholar, and NCBI databases. Statistical comparisonon the odd ratio of ۱۰ variants of IL۷R was done through SPSS software about their efficacy onMS up to Oct ۲۰۲۱.Results: Among all studied Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) (rs۶۸۸۱۷۰۶, rs۹۸۷۱۰۷,rs۱۱۵۶۷۶۸۶, rs۱۱۵۶۷۶۸۵, rs۷۷۱۸۹۱۹, rs۶۸۹۷۹۳۲, rs۱۴۹۴۵۵۸, rs۱۱۵۶۷۷۰۵, rs۱۱۵۶۷۷۰۱,rs۶۸۷۱۷۴۸), rs۷۷۱۸۹۱۹ had the highest ODD RATIO on IL۷r gene. Therefore, this variant mayhave the highest risk SNP on the IL۷R gene for developing Multiple Sclerosis.Conclusion: The exact role of SNP rs۷۷۱۸۹۱۹ is vague in the development of MultipleSclerosis. It is possible that both genetic and environmental factors would be involved. Furtherstudies are required to declare the exact effects of rs۷۷۱۸۹۱۹ in MS.
