Catalytic conversion of plastic to aromatic compounds

In the present study, catalytic pyrolysis of LDPE plastic was performed using ZSM-۵ catalyst. GCMSresults showed that aromatics had the highest selectivity (۵۵%) and the distribution of hydrocarbons wasin the range of C۶-C۱۵. Therefore, catalytic pyrolysis has an acceptable efficiency in producing aromaticproducts and high quality fuel.
