It is necessary to evaluate the reliability of the data obtained from the mechanical strength test ofindustrial catalysts. In this article, the fragile nature and the wide distribution of catalyst strength data arepointed out. It is then shown that the application of Weibull analysis can be a good solution for controlling thereliability of the strength data
