Analysis of bi-stable square and rectangular composite plates with transverse arrangement by providing new shape functions

In the following research, different behaviors of square and rectangular bi-stable composite plates are analyzed. For this purpose, Rayleigh-Ritz method and potential energy minimization principle are used. In this research, new functions are proposed for the displacement fields, which significantly improve the accuracy of the results. After determining equations and solving the results of non-linear equations, stable states and equilibrium states are determined. Next, the out-of-plane displacement of a corner and the amount of curvature in stable states are obtained.
