چکیده مقاله:

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) structure increases the stability and resistance tointracellular degradation compared to cellular linear RNA. These are widelyinvolved in a variety of diseases and cancer. Many studies havedemonstrated circRNAs may be stably expressed and present in relativelyhigh quantities in human body fluids, such as serum, plasma, saliva, exosomes, and also for their properties such as stability, conservatism, universality, and specificity, they ideal candidates as noninvasive liquidbiopsy biomarkers for cancer. The functions and regulatory roles ofcircRNAs show that they play in tumor cells make it possible to be a targetfor cancer therapy. They are aberrantly expressed in cancers exhibitabnormal roles as miRNA sponges, transcription regulators, or regulators oftranslation into proteins, protein decoys. The potential mechanismsinvolved in deregulation were outlined, including in their biogenesis fromparental genes, export from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, and removal fromthe cell. Specific circRNAs can be detected in the blood plasma of patientsto track the progression of corresponding cancer. Chemotherapy representsthe primary treatment for both early and advanced tumors. Recently, severalcircRNAs have been proven likely to play vital roles in the resistance ofcancer to chemotherapy. Deregulation of circRNAs may influenceproliferative signaling, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, angiogenesis, apoptosis, or drug resistance and, in this manner, directly have a causativerole in the development of cancer. A better understanding of themechanisms involved will serve as a significant breakthrough in this area.
