چکیده مقاله:
Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) are noncoding transcripts with aminimal length of ۲۰۰ nucleotides. LncRNAs are aberrantly expressed invarious types of cancer cells and contribute to cancer formation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, metastasis, and etc. According to the research studies,LncRNA MIR۲۰۵HG (also called, LINC۰۰۵۱۰) plays a critical role in lungsquamous cell, prostate, cervical, and head, and neck squamous cellcarcinoma. Also, bioinformatics studies propose that this LncRNAupregulates in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma and downregulates ingastric cancer. The expression level of MIR۲۰۵HG has been quantified in esophagealadenocarcinoma (EAC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), andmelanoma by qRT-PCR. MIR۲۰۵HG levels were significantly increased inmelanoma cancer cells and regulate melanogenesis via the miR-۲۹۹-۳p/VEGFA axis. MIR۲۰۵HG expression is significantly increased in ESCCtissues and its inhibition impairs cell proliferation, migration, and attack inthis cancer. It can also act as a sponge molecule to regulate Sox۴ expressionin ESCC via mir-۲۱۴. Overexpression of MIR۲۰۵HG inhibits proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion of cancerous cells in EAC andstops the G۰-G۱ cell cycle. MIR۲۰۵HG overexpression inhibits Hedgehog(Hh) signaling pathway transcription and translation in EAC. The Hhsignaling pathway plays a critical role in tumorigenesis, invasion, andmetastasis of different cancers, and also it is important for the evolution ofchemo and radio-resistance of several types of tumors. Collectively, MIR-۲۰۵HG offers a powerful therapeutic target or prognostic biomarker inseveral types of cancer and further investigation of this lncRNA in othercancers via cohort studies is valuable and highly recommended.
