چکیده مقاله:
Gene therapy is the transfer of specific genetic material to change theencoding of a gene product or the biological features of tissues in order totreat a variety of illnesses. Gene therapy tries to restore a damaged gene'sfunction, enhance the availability of disease-modifying genes, or reduce theactivity of a damaged gene. This research with Searching scholarly databasessuch as Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed for the role of genetherapy in cancer treatment was done. The findings revealed that gene therapy addresses the drawbacks ofrecombinant therapeutic peptide use, such as low bioavailability, instability, severe toxicity, low clearance rates, and high production costs. Replacementof malfunctioning genes with therapeutic genes, gene knockdown ordeactivation of problem genes, and the insertion of a new gene to treat diseaseare all examples of gene treatments.Gene therapy solves the limitations of recombinant therapeutic peptide use, such as low bioavailability, instability, severe toxicity, low clearance rates, and high production costs, according to the findings. Gene treatments includethe replacement of faulty genes with therapeutic genes, gene knockdown ordeactivation of problem genes, and the insertion of a new gene to treat adisease.
