Evaluation of the relationship between anxiety score related to coronavirus epidemic with job type and demographic characteristics of Isfahan health center staff in ۲۰۲۱

Background and Objective: With the outbreak and spread of Corona virus, health care workers are more exposed to psychological disorders and anxiety than others due to being in the front line of this disease. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the mean anxiety score associated with coronavirus epidemic with job type and demographic characteristics of health center personnel in Isfahan province.Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on ۳۵۷ staff members of health centers in Isfahan province. Data collection tools in this study included demographic information questionnaire and coronavirus anxiety scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed in spss۲۳ software.Results: The results showed that the mean score of anxiety in employees was moderate (۱۲.۹۵.۶.۴). Psychological symptoms in women (۲.۴ ۱۲. ۱۲.۹) were assessed more than men (۸.۴ ۳.۳.۳) (p <۰.۰۰۱), these symptoms were related to occupation (p = ۰.۰۳), marital status (p = ۰.۰۴), and shift work (= ۰.۰۱). p), had a significant relationship.Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, women, nurses, and shift workers should be given priority in intervention programs aimed at reducing anxiety among health care professionals. Given the critical role that female nurses play in the success of patients' treatment, as well as the critical role they play in the health and well-being of their families, specific measures should be taken to address the conditions that cause them distress.
