چکیده مقاله:
Background and Objective: Nowadays wastewater treatment and use of nanotechnology to solve it is a serious and important problem. In wastewater treatment some different ways can be effective like electronic, magnetic and conductive but the use of nanomaterials can be the better way than the others. Most of the nanomaterials used in wastewater treatment are basically made from carbon such as graphene and single/multiple walled carbon nanotubes. Silver nanoparticles shown high antimicrobial activity to remove E-Coli, Salmonella typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus from wastewater. In addition nano-size metal oxides like nanosilica is an effective way to delete heavy metals from the water. Nanotechnology and nanomaterials on wastewater issue are new sciences and they are developing ways as inexpensive and simple approaches.Materials and Methods: Gathering data for this systematic review article is based on searching in global databases like Scopus, Google Scholar and Pubmed. The keywords Wastewater, Nanomaterials, Nanotechnology are used in the search and related articles were studied. Among ۵۶ articles studied finally ۲۰ articles were used. Results: The nanotechnology becomes more important than the past. All attentions are to progress nanotechnology and make nanomaterials available. Wastewater is the same issue, use nanotechnology and attend wastewater treatment and water treatment make our life more healthier. Although we faced with some limitations such as lack of materials and financing, accurate plan to delete this limitations and improve nanotechnology is effective to boost this issues. Conclusion: Special physicochemical and great adsorbent properties of nanomaterials have resulted in emerging a new method in water treatment and removal of pollutants called nanotechnology. Although there are some concerns about nanotoxicology, using nanotechnology seems very hopeful in wastewater treatment.
