چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Today's world is heavily dependent on information technology. One of the main goals of crisis experts and policy makers is to use big data. Big data can be used extensively in disaster management because of the variety of features it provides in visualization, analysis, and forecasting. Therefore, this study investigates the application and role of big data in natural disaster management.Materials and Methods: This research is a narrative review study that has been done using articles in SID, Magiran, Google Scholar and PubMed databases. To search databases ofkeywords ("disaster management" OR "emergency management" OR "disaster relief operations" OR "natural disaster" OR "emergency management") AND "big data". used.Inclusion criteria were all types of articles that simultaneously reviewed big data and disaster management and were considered for technological disaster exclusion criteria and articles in non-English language. After extraction and screening of articles by the research team, finally ۱۴ articles were included in the study for final analysis. Results: The findings of the study showed the positive effectiveness of using big data in facilitating disaster management with diverse scientific and technological perspectives. The most important applications of big data in disaster management were the use of the best technologies available in the storage of information contained in its integrated structures to deal effectively with natural disasters. Conclusion: Effective use of technologies related to data collection and management and the development of efficient systems have a significant impact on the effective management of natural disasters and the reduction of financial and human losses. Based on the findings, more research needs to be done to address the challenges posed by big data, especially in the emerging data volume of streaming videos, including efficient data management, fast data transfer, and visual data visualization.
