A Review on the Asset Management for Power Industry from Generation to Distribution

One of the most important issues of the power industry from generation to distribution is the security and incessant appropriate functioning that has remains a main concern for managers of the power industry. On the other hand, the asset management (AM) has a significant influence on confirming system reliability, decreasing expensive crashes and avoiding shutdowns. In this paper, an overview of previous published papers about asset management in the area of power industry from generation to distribution. Overall, the ultimate goal in all papers is to plan equipment to achieve optimum lifetime for assets, developing preventive maintenance (PM) activities, and finally minimizing replacement and additional cost.
