Assessing the level of knowledge of sports science students about the moral responsibilities of human resources in sports

Observance of ethical standards in sports and competition environments by athletes, coaches and spectators has a global and national origin and is based on knowledge of the basic components of ethics as well as the scope of their job descriptions in the field of sports ethics. The overall purpose of this study was to analyze the knowledge and attitudes of sports students towards the ethical responsibilities of human resources in sports. The research method is descriptive-analytical in which the required information was collected through the field and analyzed with SPSS۲۴ and AMOS software. The population and statistical sample were the same and included all undergraduate students of sports sciences at the University of Isfahan (۱۲۳) who were studying in the ۹۸-۹۹ academic year. The measurement tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that assessed the level of students knowledge in ۵ areas of job descriptions and ethical responsibilities of coaches, referees, athletes, spectators and sports teachers. The results showed that the average score of students knowledge about the description of duties and moral responsibilities of coaches (X = ۲.۴۹), referees (X = ۳.۵۵), athletes (X = ۳.۳۸), spectators (X = ۲.۴۲) , Sports teachers (X = ۴.۰۶). Therefore, students awareness of the scope of duties in the moral responsibilities of coaches and spectators is below average. The level of students awareness had a significant relationship with gender and educational level and passing sports ethics classes and workshops. The results also showed that ۸۲.۵% of students believed that mass media (radio, television and newspapers) were not successful in promoting and introducing sports ethics.
