Protective effect of two types of masks during exercise with two different intensities in the period of coronavirus and post-coronavirus outbreak in the expression of eNOS gene in middle-aged men

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of two types of N۹۵ respiratory protection masks and surgery during running with two maximal and submaximal intensities on the treadmill during COVID-۱۹ pandemic on eNOS gene expression in healthy middle-aged men.For this purpose, ۱۰۸ healthy men in the age range of ۲۰ to ۴۵ years were randomly divided into ۹ groups (each group = ۱۲ people). , N۹۵ mask group with maximum activity (N۹۵ + Maximal), surgical mask group with maximum activity (Sur + Submaximal), N۹۵ mask group with sub-maximum activity (N۹۵ + Submaximal), maximum activity group without mask (Nomask + Maximal), group Minimum activity without mask (Nomask + Submaximal, N۹۵ mask group without activity (N۹۵Mask) and surgical mask group without activity (Surmask). The control group is: The control group without mask and without activity (Nomask + NoEXE) were considered. All measurements were taken in the pre-exercise stage, immediately after the test. All statistical subjects were performed at a significant level of P≥۰.۰۵ and by SPSS software version ۲۵. The results showed that the activity intensity factor (P = ۰.۰۰۱) was more effective on eNO gene expression than the mask factor (P = ۰.۳۶), while the interactive effects of both factors together could cause significant changes in eNO gene expression. Slow (P = ۰/۰۰۸). But the respiratory protective factor and the interactive effect of respiratory protective (P = ۰.۶۳) and exercise intensity (P = ۰.۲۱) had no significant effect. There was between Eno gene expression (p = ۰.۰۳) between the group without exercise with N۹۵ mask. Based on the findings of the present study, it can be said that running with both intensity and both types of masks increases the expression of eNOs. The type of mask (surgery against N۹۵) as well as the intensity of running (maximum and medium) affect the expression of eNOs gene, so that wearing a surgical mask as well as N۹۵ mask during running at maximum intensity on the treadmill increased the expression of eNOs gene.
