چکیده مقاله:

Identifying the most effective training methods for the development of physiological and functional abilities of athletes is of particular importance, and the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of two selected training methods on some physiological and functional variables of club table tennis players.Sixteen table tennis players were voluntarily selected and optionally assigned in combined (BMI=۱۹.۶۵±۱.۳kg/m۲; n=۸) and traditional (BMI=۱۹.۲۱±۱.۱kg/m۲; n=۸) training groups. The experimental groups performed ۹۰-minute/three sessions per week, respectively. Variables such as speed, agility, grip strength, aerobic endurance, anaerobic peak power, average anaerobic power, muscle endurance, forehand topspin, and backhand topspin skills of subjects were measured before and after the interventions. Data analysis was performed using inferential statistics of ANCOVA at a confidence level of ۰.۹۵.The results showed that there were no significant differences in speed (combined -۱۱.۹ vs. traditional ۰.۵%, p= ۰.۰۰۱), agility (combined ۸.۹ vs. traditional ۰%, P= ۰.۰۰۱), and peak power of subjects was negligible. But the mean aerobic power (combined ۱۴.۵ vs. traditional -۱۷.۳%) (P=۰.۰۲۳), anaerobic power (combined ۵.۹ vs. traditional -۲۳.۴%) (p = ۰.۰۱۳), aerobic power (combined ۵.۹) of subjects. Significant improvement was observed in the combined exercise group compared to traditional (-۰.۵۵%) (P=۰.۰۰۱), wrist strength (combined ۲۵.۹% vs. traditional ۴.۴%) (P = ۰.۰۰۱). On the other hand, in the topspin Forehand (combined ۴۶.۵% vs.۷۴.۷% traditional) (p=۰.۰۰۳) and topspin backhand skill levels (combined ۵۱.۲ vs. traditional ۸۳.۲%), there were significant differences between exercise groups (p= ۰.۰۰۱).It is concluded that the physiological parameters of table tennis players in traditional exercise group did not improved, and the players may experience a decrease in performance in consecutive matches.
