چکیده مقاله:

Cardiomyopathy is an inherited disease that directly affects the heart muscle. According to the World Health Organization, cardiomyopathy is divided into dilated, hypertrophic and restrictive types. This disease is known as one of the leading causes of sudden cardiac death in adults and young athletes. Morphologically, HCM is characterized in young individuals by a range of changes including progressive left ventricular hypertrophy and ventricular muscle structural disorder. This study reviews conflicting evidence about the effect of exercise on these patientsThe online databases including PubMed, PsycINFO, SPORTDiscus, and Magiran were searched. Twenty-five eligible studies conducted up to ۱۸ October ۲۰۲۱ that contained keywords such as exercise and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were included. The results of most studies indicate that there are several limitations in these patients to exercise And the recommendations for physical activity and sports participation for patients with this disease are similar in nature to a number of low-intensity and moderate activities with individual evaluation. Although exercise has positive effects on the recovery of these patients, it should be performed under the supervision of a physician and sports scientists to be conducted in the safe range of exercise.Generally, most studies have considered recommending low to moderate-intensity exercise. And professional athletes with a definitive diagnosis of the disease should be prohibited from competing in sports.
