چکیده مقاله:

The lower-extremity injuries are the most common body area injury (۷۳%) and resulted in the greatest number of games missed (۸۸%) in the WNBA from ۲۰۱۵ to ۲۰۱۹. Torn ACL is the most devastating injuries (۹.۲%) and resulting in the greatest number of games missed (۲۸%), also knee injuries carried the most long-term impact on games missed due to injury. The most common mechanism of ACL injury in basketball is non-contact and MKD is the key risk factor of these injuries, so that ۸۸% can predict ACL injury in female athletes. The SMBT is one of the successful lower extremity injury prevention protocols in the female basketball Athletes. But its effect on athletic performance in female adolescent basketball athletes’ whit MKD has not been studied. Therefore, this study investigates the effect of SMBT on athletic performance in female adolescent basketball athletes with MKD.In this randomized controlled trial the study subjects consist of ۳۰ female adolescent basketball athletes with MKD. The subjects were randomly placed into two groups (TG: Training Group, n=۱۵, age:۱۵.۴±۱.۲ years, weight ۵۴.۵±۵.۵ kg, height ۱۶۱.۶±۵.۹ cm, BMI ۲۰.۸۲±۱.۲ kg/m۲, and experience ۴.۲۷±۱.۰۳ years, and CG: Control Group, n=۱۵, age:۱۶.۰۶±۱.۳ years, weight ۵۶.۷±۴.۸ kg, height ۱۶۲.۶±۴.۱ cm, BMI ۲۱.۴±۱.۰ kg/ m۲, and experience ۴.۶۷±۱.۰۴ years). The TG participated in ۱۸ sessions of the SMBT program. assessment’s included Double Leg Squat (DLS), and athletic performance test (Y balance test, vertical jump height test, ۴۰m sprint test, illinois agility test). The results of the ANCOVA showed that TG experienced significant improvements in athletic performance such as increased total Y balance test (P=۰.۰۱, from ۸۸/۸ to ۹۵/۶), increased vertical jump height (P=۰.۰۲, from ۲۶/۷ to ۲۹/۲ cm), reduced ۴۰m sprint records (P=۰.۰۴, from ۶/۱ to ۵/۷s), reduced Illinois agility records (P=۰.۰۱, from ۱۹/۱ to ۱۷/۷s).The SMBT designed to prevention knee injuries in female basketball players. The MKD is the key risk factor of knee injuries, and resulted in reduced performance. Therefore, participation in SMBT is recommended for female adolescent basketball athletes whit MKD because it is effective in preventing injuries and improvement athletic performance.
