Representing the opportunities and challenges of virtual education in the primary school of Bonab and Shoush; A phenomenological study

چکیده مقاله:

The current study has been conducted to represent the opportunities and challenges of virtual education in physical training courses during the pandemic of coronavirus in a qualitative manner using phenomenological method. In this investigation, data were collected by semi-structured interviews and telecommunications. For the interview, ۲۰ physical education teachers working in the primary school of Bonab and Shoush cities were selected by a type of snowball sampling technique for purposive sampling, and the relevant interview was continued until the theoretical saturation. Data analysis was performed using Colaizzi’s seven-step method. Findings of this study indicate that the opportunities and challenges of teaching physical education in cyberspace include ۸ main branches and ۲۰ sub-branches as follows:Challenges related to students (۳ sub- branches: Lack of motivation, Communication with peers, Dependence on inactive cyberspace), parents (۲ sub- branches: Parents lack of attention to physical education lessons, Ensure parental supervision), teachers (۲ sub-branches: Virtual training is more time consuming, Low mastery of cyberspace), content (۲ sub- branches: Whether or not the content produced is useful, Difficulties of content production), assessment (۲ sub- branches: Failure to provide appropriate feedback, Lack of close monitoring and fraud), facilities (۲ sub- branches: Lack of public access to mobile phones and the Internet at a proper speed, Space constraints), Koch plan (۲ Sub- branches: Economic problems and low unemployment of families, Virtual training) and Opportunities (۵ sub- branches: Self-assessment and an opportunity to fix problems, Away from traditional education, Strengthen the cognitive dimension of physical education, Direct parental supervision, High teacher interaction)
