In this research, a novel Fe۳O۴/CNT nanocomposite was prepared. The structure and morphology properties of the nanocomposite were well characterized by fieldemission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Benefiting from the visible light, the as-prepared Fe۳O۴/CNT nanocomposite exhibit significantly improvedphotocatalytic performance for the degradation of prednisolone. The optimum photocatalytic efficiency of Fe۳O۴/CNT nanocomposite was investigated with thecentral composite design using Minitab software. The four critical variables affecting parathion degradation such as the concentration of prednisolone, pH, irradiation time,and amount of Fe۳O۴/CNT nano catalyst. A polynomial function corresponding to degradation percent was obtained for the experimental data. The results showed thatthis catalyst has a good performance for the degradation of prednisolone.
