چکیده مقاله:

Here we explored a novel strategy toward strong, ductile and tough particulate reinforced metal matrixcomposites. A powder assembly approach was developed to fabricate micro B۴C/۶۰۶۱Al composites, whichfeatures ultrafine-grained/coarse-grained (UFG/CG) matrices containing nano dispersoids. Ourexperimental results further revealed that the intrinsic toughening by hetero-deformation induced hardening, and enhanced dislocation storage capability with improved strain hardening are closely related to thenanoparticle-dislocation interactions and grain size bimodality via which overcoming strength-ductility canbe achieved. The proposed strategy can be applied to design the microstructure of other PRMMCs with bothhigh strength-ductility.
