چکیده مقاله:

With the rise in crude oil prices and the growing need for light olefins in recent years, the utilization of innovativelight olefin manufacturing technologies has gotten a lot of attention. One of the successful procedures forproducing light olefins is the Methanol to light olefins (MTO) process, which uses methanol from natural gasand coal. Catalyst engineering, reactors, and catalytic reactions in the MTO process have all been extensivelyexplored in recent decades. SAPO-۳۴ is the best catalyst for the MTO process because it has a suitable pore size, medium acidity, and high selectivity for light olefins. But this catalyst is rapidly deactivated by coke settlinginside its pores. The pores inside the crystals close up, and only the pores near the surface are still open whenMTO reactions happen. So, most research on SAPO-۳۴ catalysts has been done to reduce coke formation on thiscatalyst. Modification of the SAPO-۳۴ catalyst by using methods such as combining SAPO with a metal ion, adjusting the acidity, reducing particle size, and synthesizing the SAPO-۳۴ catalyst with a hierarchical structurecan greatly improve the performance of the catalyst and thus increase its lifetime. In this paper, articles that haveused these methods to improve the performance of the SAPO-۳۴ catalyst were reviewed.
