چکیده مقاله:

The corrosion efficiency of aromatic amines for mild steel in ۰.۵ M H۲SO۴ was investigated using polarization and weight loss measurements. The results revealed that these inhibitors exhibit good corrosion inhibition even at a very low concentration. Polarization curves showed that all of the compounds are mixed type inhibitors. The adsorption of inhibitors is found to obey Langmuir isotherm. The relationship between molecular structure of these compounds and their inhibition efficiency which was investigated by quantum chemical calculations indicates that the inhibition efficiency has lucid correlation with the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy levels and electron charge of oxygen atoms.
