چکیده مقاله:

Background and purpose: Serial killings because of the fact that a person is able to kill multiple victims, often accompanied by torture and harassment, and usually continue to commit murders until arrest, is of different criminological and psychological importance. Has a single murder. The occurrence of serial killings has an internal and psychological origin rather than an external and environmental origin. One of the most common psychological factors in the occurrence of serial killings is personality disorders; therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the personality disorders of Mohammad Bijeh.Materials and Methods: The present study is qualitative and based on the library method, based on previous research with the keywords of personality and mental disorders, Mohammad Bijeh, serial murders, child sexual abuse in databases such as Science Direct, Google Scholar, The site of the Science Direct, Google Scholar, MagIran, Scientific Information Database - SID, NoorMagz and Scopus, was searched between ۱۹۸۰ and ۲۰۲۱.Results: The results of the present study showed that Mohammad Bijeh most likely had a narcissistic personality disorder. The existence of some of the main criteria for narcissistic personality disorder such as lack of empathy, intense jealousy, feeling of entitlement and the need to control and exploit and abuse others in Mohammad Bijeh confirms that he is most likelyto suffer from this disorder. Mohammad Bijeh also has backgrounds in antisocial personality disorder and sexual dysfunction.Conclusion: According to the findings of the present study, it can be said that personality disorders are one of the most common psychological factors in committing murder in individuals.
