چکیده مقاله:
Both soft and hard tissues in the body are repaired or replaced by surgical implants. The hip joint is the body's biggest weight-bearing joint after the knee. In this case study, A common type (pin-cup) hip joint replacement has been considered for adult-size femur bone with a minimum cross-sectional diameter of ۳۰mm of the femoral head and weight of body up to ۷۵Kg and the aim is to try to choose a proper material for the pin which works as the femoral head. For this means quality function deployment (QFD) method is used which is an overarching idea that enables customers' needs to be translated into technical specifications for each step of product development and manufacturing. Ten product requirements—fatigue loading considerations, static loading considerations, wear considerations, tissue tolerance, corrosion resistance, toughness, elastic compatibility, weight, cost, and fixation techniques—are chosen and three biocompatibility materials—Stainless Steel ۳۱۶, Co-Cr, Titanium, and Ti-۶Al-۴V—are selected according to their chemical compositions and material properties.Ti-۶Al-۴V alloy shows better results.
