Design of an Axial-Radial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Folding Windings

This paper proposes a design of axial radial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor with folding windings. The basic electromagnetic relations of the compound machine and a design rule of this type of machine are achieved. The calculation results show that the motor with this structure can greatly increase the power density of the motor under the larger outer diameter and power demand
