چکیده مقاله:

In this study, a three dimensional micromechanical model based on the unit-cell method of silicon carbide is used to study volume fraction effect of Sic filler on biaxial yield surface of composite. For achieving this, the geometry of the RVE of the simplified unit cell method is extended to r × c sub-cells with interfacial de-bonding forces between them for modeling Sic and their surrounding matrix. The composite system used whitin this study includes Sic/Ti MMC, titanium as the matrix which is reinforced by aligned silicon carbide with ۳۳% volume fraction. The fibers are considered to be elastic up to fracture point that is ۳۲۴۰MPa in tension and ۹GPa in compression The titanium matrix is studied as elastic-plastic material with the yield stress of ۹۱۰MPa. Based upon the von Mises yield criterion, many modified criteria have been suggested, whereas in this case of biaxial loading, the classic and refined von Mises criteria are used to investigate biaxial deterioration surfaces
