چکیده مقاله:
Community gardens have been considered an excellent movement for fostering environmentally sustainable life worldwide, which can be viewed as of particular locations of collective activities that serve a range of ends of environmental sustainability, health, and well-being of citizens. They are, in fact, a response to global challenges on a micro-scale. Although sustainable development is a crucial topic with various dimensions of the economy, society, and environment, they could perform as the sustainable urban food industry. Comprehensive literature in various computerized databases was conducted, and numerous published original research and review articles about community gardens and their effects on environmental sustainability and climate change were utilized. The evidence suggests that community gardens have been experienced a rise in the availability of locally grown fruits and vegetables, which contributes to nutrition enhancements for households participating in community gardening. This article will investigate how community gardens can impact sustainability and climate change globally. From the results, it is suggested that the community garden movement could act as a model for the implementation of social, economic, and environmental policies at the local level, and as a means of fostering pro-environmental behaviour change towards low-carbon food consumption, and consequently, could have a significant effect on climate change mitigation.
