Evaluation of rainbow trout infection with streptococcus in farms of Noorabad Mamasani city of Fars province using microbial culture and biochemical and antibiogram tests.

In order to evaluate the incidence of rainbow trout suspected of streptococcus disease in Nurabad Mamasani city of Fars province, ۱۰۰ samples of live fish with symptoms similar to streptococcus disease were caught and after necropsy, kidney, liver and brain tissues were sampled. Bacterial analysis was performed on blood agar (BA) medium. Sampling was performed in the presence of flame and with sterile equipment. The samples were stored in an incubator at ۲۵ ° C for ۷۲ hours. After this period, first gram-negative samples were removed by hot staining and catalase test and then additional biochemical tests were performed on the samples after replanting.The resultsshowed that the isolated samples were S.iniae and L.garviae. The incidence of fish with clinical symptoms of S.iniae was ۸۳% and L.garviae was ۱۴% and ۳% of cases were not detected. The results show that according to previous research, the disease is still chronic in the farms of Noorabad Mamasani and Fars province, and to eradicate the disease from the farms of this city and even the province, basic studies and measures should be taken.
