Investigation of infection of fish and shrimp offered in the fish market of Bandar Abbas city Fish Market with Vibrio parahaemolyticus

Vibrio bacteria are one of the dangerous pathogens in fish and shrimp farming. In this study, fresh samples of fish and shrimp were collected in a clusterrandom manner from fish shops in Bandar Abbas city Fish Market and transferred to a bacteriological laboratory at a temperature of ۴ ° C (next to the date). To count and identify bacteria, TCBS culture medium and bacteriological differential cultures including: oxidase reaction, fermentation of sugars, nitrate reduction test, amino acids, staining, etc. were used. The results were analyzed using SPSS software and ANOVA test. The results showed that fish and shrimp obtained from fish shops in Bandar Abbas city were similar in terms ofVibrio parahaemolyticus infection during the study period. But they were significantly different from each other in terms of the total number of infected samples. The data showed that Vibrio parahaemolyticus was the predominant species and was the most abundant. The abundance of Vibrio genus, especially Vibrio parahemolyticus species, can be a good indicator for evaluating the management of fishing as well as the management of maintenance and transportation to the consumer market, as well as observing the cold chain and personal and public health.
