The fool in Elizabethan drama is a person who amuses the king or any other wealthy person who needs someone to entertain him. The Shakespearean fool is a intermittent character type.The fools often are smart characters or commoners that use their cleverness to outdo people of higher social ranks. In fact the function of a fool is to speak truth in disguised and sometimes garotesque manner. In Shakespeare's king Lear the Fool plays many important roles.The Fool is the king's advocate, honest and loyal and through his use of irony, sarcasm and humor he is able to point out Lear's faults. In his king clear, Shakespeare's fool's motivation is to make Lear giggle yet in all actuality he offers genuine comments on the activity and brings up to Lear what's going on with his conduct because King Lear as a protagonist of the play has lost all his authority and freedom .He now depends upon his daughters for fulfilling all his requirements. Moreover the Fool asserts truth and sensibility as an agent who prompts Lear to recognize the bitter truth. King Lear isn't the just one of Shakespeare's plays to contain a humorous substitute; despite the fact that his as far as anyone knows silly misuse of his dad's visual impairment in the main demonstration may likewise set us up for the subject of brutality which is obvious in the play. We may additionally recommend that the fool’s strange and ludicrous remarks in King Lear infer the confusion inside the order all in all. The fool in King Lear is a case of Shakespeare utilizing the moron as a voice to overcome any issues between the crowd and the stage. The “all-licensed fool” makes many of his quips at the expense of the king.
