چکیده مقاله:

At present, the production of carbon dioxide gas by cement factories in Iran is about ۳۰ million tons per year. With the increase of cement production capacities to ۷۰ million tons by the next decade, the carbon dioxide production amount will reach the equivalent of cement production in that year. ۱۴% of freight transportation in Iran is assigned for the cement, and therefore ۱۴% of pollutions caused by the transportation network is due to the cement industry. On the other hand, about ۸۰% of the required energy for the cement industry of Iran is generated by fossil fuels which cause adverse effects on greenhouse gas emissions. During the cutting and polishing process in the stone-cutting industry, some of the stones are turned into waste and useless rock fragments that Improper disposal of them can have harmful environmental influences. The steel industry depending on the type of activity has damaging consequences on the environment. Therefore, corrective proceedings to remove or reduce and control them within environmental standards are essential. In this study, we review the amendatory actions of the West Asian Steel Plant. We try to investigate the role of cement, steel, and stone-cutting industries in environmental pollutions.
