The effect of stomach reflux on teeth

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of stomach reflux on teeth. The present study is an applied research and in terms of method is also descriptive-survey. The statistical population of this study was ۲۰۰ people who referred to a dental clinic in Tehran for dental examinations. The sample size based on Morgan table is ۱۲۷ people and sampling method is also available. In this study, these patients and their history were studied and data related to the condition of the stomach and their dental status were studied. Then k-s test and one-sample t-test were used and data were analyzed by SPSS software. The results showed that stomach reflux weakens the protective coating of the teeth, changes the color of the teeth and causes sharp tooth edges
