Performance Evaluation of Water Walls under Specific loading in Closed Mineral Spaces

The blast in the minerals and industrial closed spaces is one of the worst and most devastating accidents that could lead to heavy human and financial losses. Since such events are not so far from the mind, special measures should be taken to reduce the effects of such events. In this study, walls made of the water-filled block reduce the destructive effects caused by the explosion. The behavior of these walls has been studied about different parameters such as wall height, placement, and the distance between them and the explosion's center. The results show that the efficiency of these walls is ۸۰.۵% in the most optimal condition.
