چکیده مقاله:

One of the important uses of poly alpha olefins (PAOs) is in the manufacture and production of lubricants, especially lube oils. The production of these products requires the use of alpha-olefin compounds containing six to ten carbons as raw material. To produce this carbon structure and obtain a homogeneous structure, Ziegler-Natta polymerization process can be used, but this process is non-selective and creates many kinds of polymer compounds with a wide range and requires the use of more selective reactions. In the present review, we discussed the selective oligomerization methods performed for the preparation of even-carbon numbered alpha olefins especially C۶ to C۸ carbon atoms from organic derivative or halide of a transition metal, especially titanium, chromium and zirconium. It can be said that in most of the activities carried out so far, chromium is one of the factors for the selectivity in tetramerization has been and these reaction needs the use of organoaluminum compound AlR۳ or its hydrolyzed product methylaluminoxane MAO, modified methylaluminoxane MMAO. Next, we review in detail the research and activities carried out on the effect of cocatalysts MAO, MMAO as well as compounds containing boron [iPrN {P (C۶H۴-p-SiR۳)۲} ۲CrCl۲] + [B (C۶F۵] - t.
