Efficient and Convenient Three-Component Strecker-type Reaction Catalyzed by BF۳.SiO۲ Nanoparticles

BF۳.SiO۲ nanoparticles have been used as a heterogenous solid acid catalyst for the one-pot three-component synthesis of a-aminonitriles from the condensation of aromatic amines with various aldehyde and potassium cyanide. All reactions were completed in short times and products were obtained in good to excellent yields. This simple protocol offers advantages such as high yields, short reaction times, simple work-up procedure and usage of less costly, less toxic, and operable under environmentally friendly conditions catalyst.
